The easiest way to activate the recovery mode on your iPhone

Do you have problems with your iPhone? Don't worry, most of the time there's a solution: the recovery mode or reset. Until now you could only access this by pressing a combination of buttons but with the RecBoot it all gets easier and all it takes is one click.

A very useful iOS mode

The recovery mode is the solution to many iOS problems, so accessing it can help you reset the device if a firmware update comes up with an error that "kills" your iPhone.

Usually, you have to press a combination of buttons on the device in order to do a recovery on the iPhone. Sometimes this isn't possible, especially if the home button on the iPhone is damaged. Thanks to Recboot, you can enter the restore mode without pressing any buttons.

RecBoot activates the recovery mode with three simple steps: connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable, run this software and then click on Enter Recovery Mode. When you no longer need to use this mode, simply click on Exit Recovery Mode and your iPhone will return to its normal state.

Use it only in specific circumstances

The recovery mode was designed for advanced users who want to carry out certain operations on their iPhone. If you're not sure what this mode is for, we recommend you don't use it, as by activating it you are entering the heart of your iPhone's operating system.

You should also take into account that, for now, RecBoot only works with computers that have a 32 bit operating system. If yours is 64 bit, the program will not work. We hope this will be fixed in future app updates.

Apart from this requisite, RecBoot needs a 9.2 version of iTunes, or older, and a 4.0 NET Framework.

A life-saver for your iPhone

RecBoot can revive an iPhone after it has stopped working due to a failed firmware update, and it can also recover data from your phone that you thought you had lost. It's incredibly useful as long as you're familiar with the iOS recovery mode.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
